Crafted following our traditional recipe, our Wholemeal Pizza Dough offers a twist by replacing the classic flour with wholemeal flour, all while preserving the delectable taste of an authentic pizza base. It’s an ideal choice for the younger ones in your family.
Your dough balls will arrive semi-frozen and should be stored in the freezer immediately. They will maintain their freshness for up to 12 months when stored in the freezer, or up to 2 days when refrigerated.

Our dough is sourced from the esteemed Pillitteri family members based in the UK. While many have endeavoured to master the art of pizza-making, the traditional techniques of dough preparation have gradually faded, impacting the authenticity and flavour of true Neapolitan Italian pizza. Fortunately, the Pillitteri family has steadfastly adhered to these traditional methods since the 1900s and have imparted the art of dough preparation through generations. We wholeheartedly endorse their philosophy: “Perfect dough, perfect pizza, every time.”
How to Use Your Dough:
The Ideal Method
- Retrieve the frozen dough balls from the freezer and place them individually on a tray, keeping them in their respective bags. Let them thaw in the refrigerator at 4ºC overnight.
- On the following day, gently remove the dough from their bags, coat them with flour, and return them to a tray.
- Allow them to rest at room temperature, approximately 20ºC, for at least 1-2 hours before crafting your pizza. Always keep the dough covered with a damp tea towel to prevent drying.
- Roll out and stretch the dough with your hands, add your preferred toppings, and cook until perfection is achieved.
The Expedited Method
- Take the frozen dough balls from the freezer, keeping them in their individual bags, and place them on a tray.
- Allow them to defrost at room temperature, approximately 20ºC, for at least 1 hour.
- Once defrosted, carefully remove the dough from their bags, coat them with flour, and return them to a tray. Allow them to sit for an additional 1-2 hours, ensuring the dough is covered with a damp tea towel to prevent drying.
- Proceed to roll out and stretch the dough as desired, add your chosen toppings, and cook until it reaches the desired readiness.
